We
first formed in May 2000, the founder Tony Madge had the vision of a
domestic airline with it's main hub in The Channel Islands Jersey
Airport, it was soon apparent that our easy come easy go approach to
the Virtual Airline industry was a favourite feature, too many VA's
insist on stringent flying policy's and must fly to stay in
rules....!!
Within
a year we had grown far beyond expectations and it was obvious that
we had to expand our field of operations, and JGA was developed to
become a world airline.
After
a further 18 months or so The Jersey Group of Company's
were to have another major restructure as interest
dwindled in the Virtual Airline Industry it was decided
that we should merge several of the divisions and drop
divisions that had no viable future.
JGA
Europe was born with a new website and an overhaul of the fleet,
catering at that time for FS98 & FS2002 until the
release of FS2004, FS98 aircraft were dropped and the
emphasis was based solely on FS2002 & FS2004.
In 2009 we have had another leap forward,
the name JGA Europe was dropped, because of our growth
and introduction of several more VA's into the group we
reverted back to using The Jersey Group of Airlines
or JGA as it has become known, again with a new website and the introduction over the
last few years of FSX we offer the best possible Virtual
Airline for any enthusiast, this year see's the
introduction of JGA JustFly, Gibraltar VA, Gerton Air Cargo
& Fly Scotland, four
airlines that offer our members more choice & type of
flight than ever before.
Our 24/7 FSHost & Teamspeak2 servers offer
the best in online flying, whether a serious flyer or a
complete novice all are welcome, we have members
that offer ATC and are online most evenings along with
several members flying.
The future for JGA looks good, we've
been around for 9 years and have a good number of
members, always looking to improve on what we have you
can be sure that you need not look elsewhere for a
friendlier environment to enjoy what we all believe is a
hobby and so much more....
We believe that JGA has the correct format for all
budding Virtual Pilots, we still have one strong belief, Virtual
flying should be for fun & a place for likeminded friends to enjoy a
hobby that really is....
