To all pilots who use our members server,

We will be using a new format for our evening sessions, starting on Thurs eve 28th Jan.

I am only putting a few brief pointers in this posting to get you started.

You will still get a departure and arrival airport, atis will be available for those using real weather. You can obtain this information by typing in the chat box the following :-

?dep

?arr

?atis

You can then compile your own flight plan, SID's and STARS if you wish, and file it in the normal way. We will do our best
to have the information available for you 24hrs before the event.

ATC will be provided up to DEP, hand off's only from CTR to CTR, and APP to GATE the other end.

It is hoped that this new system will share the work load between pilot and controller more evenly, and make it a bit more like real world aviation.

To all Pilots,

Due to the outcome of the new format trials, there are a few alterations to be tested.

Firstly, in the ?dep information there will be a navigation point to which you will be vectored, and a FL to climb to before you are handed off to Centre, to resume own navigation.
ie: CPT FL60

In the ?arr information there will be a navigation point which you will navigate to, and a FL to descend to, before being handed off to APP for ILS vectoring.
ie: DVR FL120

Secondly, TS 3 channels have been changed. The non ATC flight channel is for pilots who wish to free fly and chat with fellow pilots.
The main nights for ATC flying are Tues and Thurs when events are held, of course ATC can be provided any night, and often is !!.

Hi,

On some fly-ins we land and take-off using an intermediate
airport, either Touch&Go, PX change, Aircraft change or re-fuelling.

Please check for Tues & Thurs fly-in eve's by typing ?via into the FS9chat box to check the flight.

ie:

?dep

?via (will show N/A if not used)

?arr
