A choir, chorale, or chorus is a musical ensemble of singers. Choral music, in turn, is the music written specifically for such an ensemble to perform.

Based in North Bristol, the Henbury Singers are a local amateur choir of around 40 members. Our aims are to provide a forum for people who enjoy choral singing to practice and perform varied works, both accompanied and unaccompanied. There are no auditions, and the atmosphere is both relaxed and friendly.

We aim to perform two to three main programmes a year, with the concerts including choral and instrumental works, accompanied with solos given by local amateur musicians Along with the rehearsals, the concerts aim to be a bit different, being both fun and rewarding.

Rehearsals are held during school terms on Thursday evenings, from 7.45pm to 9.15pm. We generally rehearse at Stoke Bishop C of E Primary School, but please contact miken5000@yahoo.co.uk for current details as some nights may be at different venues

We always look forward to having new members of all ages. If you would like to join the choir, then please come along to one of our rehearsals, or e-mail me at the address below
